We work with adults of working age (18-65) who have a range of significant and enduring mental health needs; predominantly diagnoses of Psychosis, Schizophrenia, Mood Disorders, Complex Trauma and Anxiety. We also work with service users who have an Autistic Spectrum Condition, Learning Difficulties and Alcohol/Drug Dependency. Our service user group can find it difficult to access therapies for a number of reasons, so we have employed therapists since 2013 (a Psychotherapist, an Art Psychotherapist and a Drama Psychotherapist) so all our service users have access to 1:1 sessions and groups as part of their placement. We offer a holistic and trauma informed approach, and the team is made up of a diverse and highly skilled group of Mental Health Workers and Management Team. Working Hours: Monday - Friday 10am-6pm We are able to consider placements from other universities, but will prioritise UWE Placements. Due to the complex needs of our Service Users, we are only offering placements to Masters or Doctorate Students. We will only consider applicants who also have work experience in the Mental Health field.
From September 2025 we will be facilitating 2nd year (70 day) Social Work Placements for UWE undergraduate students. Placements are allocated by UWE placement coordinators.
